The D P Hopkins Banjo -- Models Offered
We don't have any fancy-sounding names for our banjos. We don't name them after places in Kentucky, politicians, famous bluegrass icons or cities in far-off lands. Instead, we name them after what they are made of.
What a concept!
We offer three basic models:
Mahogany with nickel hardware.
Walnut with chrome hardware.
Maple with gold hardware.
These combinations have been selected on the basis of what seems to work best together. Other options are detailed on the pages where the banjos are listed.
Click on the links above to see the various models.
Our banjos feature rims made from submerged wood by Tony Pass, the Hopkins tone ring, and our distinct headpiece, shown above, and our proprietary "holly leaf" inlay pattern.
